About the Course

While we were kids, we were just having fun with colors and paints. Little did we know that it was making us grow in diverse ways. We might miss wondering how that happens, but upon discovering the many impacts of it, we might just be left with awe. The activity of drawing play a significant role in a child’s overall development.

It helps them to express their feelings and thoughts. The various concepts and techniques that a child learns are beneficial for their motor skills and sensory development.  In this creative process, they tend to grow curious as it does not have any strict limitations which let them have free flow of ideas. In an attempt of repeating the process, the kids remember better and thus strengthen their memory. Learning to draw at a young age develops their artistic flair too. As the kid grows, their brain develops and registers the learnings. Art leads to them being more empathetic and understanding.

Moreover, they further have a chance to choose the various careers of art as their profession. They can go on to become graphic designers, painters, architects, and so on. imd1 Happy Art for Little Artist – Hobbyist is designed keeping in mind the various factors that affect any child’s growth. The scientifically developed course curriculum ensures the kid learns in a stepwise manner and make the most of all the learnings. To help the kids learn and make the most of it, each module has plenty of exercises. This course is designed in consultation with Urmi’s Art Forum and endorsed by Padma Shri Tilak Gitai.

The course focuses on assisting the kids in mastering the basic techniques of drawing and painting. While the kid might already be enjoying drawing, this course offers to learn the next step like the color schemes, drawing human faces, and various other principles of design. This is when the kid will enjoy, engage and have fun in their art class.

  • Know about the color harmony & color schemes like Complementary, Split- Complementary, Triadic and Tetradic color schemes
  • Compose a drawing keeping in mind key concepts like placements, overlapping, perspective, foreground, background, positive and negative space
  • Achieve different effects in your drawing like transparency, optical illusion
  • Enhance observation, awareness and imagination
  • Understand the principle of design proportion
  • Correctly apply color shading techniques
  • Start to put emotions in the subject
  • Draw human face with various characteristics and front and side profile
  • Learn to draw identity of a person
  • Daily life compositions
  • Understanding of basic drawing tools
  • Techniques to draw creative scenery artworks
  • Compatible drawing with waste materials
